DESCRIPTION
* Vintage purse from 1940s-1950s
* basket bag style: similar to a basket, it has a rigid curved structure,
interlock latch closure
* it is collapsible and can be flatten for easy storage
* made of bamboo slats, they are strung together with twine ropes
* accented with red woods on the sides
* no lining
* no marking but these were generally made during The Occupation of Japan.
CONDITION
* the purse is in good condition and shows signs of normal use. The slats and
the ropes are intact, it works and can easily be flatten. The bag is typically
can also be folded flat in half but I do not want to force down and risk
stressing and breaking the ropes, please see the last photo.
